Ruthy's New Texas Lawyer Friend | by John Blandly Feb. 10, 2012 | $1.99 | 5633 words | Sample 20% |
| Author bio: "Ruthy's New Texas Lawyer Friend" is a Valentine's Day story. So is "Peeps," in a second time around way. Generous small literary publications on rare occasions published my stories. Some are in "Short Stories Online," an ebook here. Like any writer, I depend on the kindness of strangers. "The Drip Theory" is included in a new ebook, "The Stars." I came up with the "Drip Theory" I don't know when, but when I mentioned it to a few people, they thought it was wild. I'm afraid to mention it to respected astronomers, who I come into contact regularly, and who already think I'm in deep space. "The Volunteers" was originally published in "Studio" (Australia). I love Australia and hope some day to visit there. South America too. Here's a link to a new short film, please forgive me: it's called "John Blandly eBooks" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvMuExUS61M&feature=related here's another one" "Parents Weekend" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLLqGAxWAAA&list=UUqSJRvokev5kxqWNfYczwCQ&index=2&feature=plcp Love stories--that's what I like in a book or a movie. Some love stories here are "Girlfriends Lost," and "The Volunteers." There may be others. Sci Fi alert! Man your battle stations! Or woman them, whatever you want. I have always been interested in astronomy. I get new books almost every year (almanacs), since there are always new discoveries. "The Meddlers," and "Peeps" deal with what might happen if there was virtual travel to nearby stars, which I think will happen. I am continuing to work on Enhanced eBooks, which includes photos or films or music. Here, "The Underground," is perhaps the best example, but there is some enhancement with photos or art in "Famous Fake Books," "Rock Star Diet," and "Girlfriends Lost." The enhancement makes the books harder to edit for publication through the premium catalogue. The typescript gets variable--big--small--different fonts. The conversion process rips away formatting I guess. I am just a simple literary anarchist, working my way up to I don't know what. I just added a new improved version of Rock Star Diet, with more jokes, and photos of my favorite rock stars. Check out my films by searching johnblandly on YouTube. Phantom of the Art Gallery http://www.youtube.com/user/JohnBlandly#p/u/0/XiDzQvtkbcA I reside in the wilderness of the New York frontier. Here are some links to navigate with me! "Abbie," the love story of Frankie and Maisie, who get involved in the drama of Abbie Hoffman's underground life in the Thousand Islands http://www.synergebooks.com/ebook_abbie.html me book of poetry--just jokes in the form of poems http://synergebooks.com/ebook_new&easypoems.html If you've got nothing better to do, you can read my hopefully somewhat accurate poems about the meaning of life. Good luck! Also, please buy a copy of one of my novellas or novelettes from Smashwords. It is said that a prophet is not without honor except in his home town. Based on sales of my books, looks like my home town is--THE WORLD! The young adult novelette, The Volunteers, is based on a number of true stories, or more accurately, harrowing experiences. Girlfriends Lost is completely fictional--I wish! I do not know how to explain it right now except to say, Caesar used to write about himself in the third person, but he had far better adventures. So, enjoy reading "The Death of John Blandly, Continued," included in this novella, and if you can figure it out, let me know, at jjbrearton@aol.com. A novelette that I first published here has now been released as an ebook by Aripublishing.com. It is a surprisingly popular young adult western story. Here's the gigantic link: Ruthy’s New Texas Lawyer Friend, by John Blandly http://www.amazon.com/Ruthys-Texas-Lawyer-Friend-ebook/dp/B004WLOR70/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&m=AG56TWVU5XWC2&s=digital-text&qid=1306963354&sr=1-1 Some of the covers of my books use photos courtesy of Freedigitalphotos.net. http://twitter.com/blandly |

Eventually retiring from teaching he returned to university to complete a specialist degree in literature, and is now a full time writer, editor and proofreader. Something like that. Tom’s a sort of old bloke and doesn’t do the techie stuff, Gil does (Thanks, mate!), but it’s his idea. Alex pops his head in now and then to find out what we’re up to, and if we stuff things up Michael comes in and rips our bloody ears off. His limited vocabulary is unprintable – a lot like a huge Aunty Jack without the moustache – so you’ll just have to imagine the guy. But it runs good, smooth and clean as a whistle. We are graduates in Literature, Film and Media, Social Sciences, and Computer Science. We are skilled, Open Source sorts of enthusiastics. We operate as a collective and share the profits. |

Rachel's Manifesto | by Rhonda Herrington Bulmer Feb. 07, 2012 | $4.99 | 55848 words | Sample 20% |
| Author bio: As a child, Rhonda Herrington Bulmer was a voracious reader, a lover of fantasy, fairy tales and happy endings. She began her first novel at age 15, a romantic sleuth story which was loved by the author but rejected by publishers. Despite encouragement from editors to persevere, her desire to write languished in a drawer, along with that first manuscript. Born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada, Rhonda graduated from Durham College of Applied Arts and Technology in Oshawa, Ontario with a diploma in public relations in 1987. Upon graduation, Rhonda practiced public relations in the Maritimes, and also worked in graphic design. Later, she offered freelance services at home while raising her three children. Later still, study with the Institute for Children's Literature helped revive her adolescent writing dream. Currently, she provides copywriting services to local businesses and submits general interest articles and columns. She is a member of the Professional Writers Association of Canada (www.monctonwriters.ca). Rhonda lives in Moncton, New Brunswick with her husband and three children, where she can recite her favorite book, "Where the Wild Things Are," by Maurice Sendak, from memory.
