I am a veteran journalist and author of the award-winning true crime memoir, Luggage By Kroger. During a forty-year career as a newspaper and magazine journalist, I have covered crime, courts and legal affairs for multiple publications, including The Houston Post, The National Law Journal and Time Magazine. I began my career after graduation from the University of Missouri's School of Journalism, where I won the Walter Williams Award as the outstanding writer in the class of 1969. As a newspaper reporter, I was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize on a series of stories that freed an aging convict from prison and I won the Texas UPI Enterprise reporting award for stories exposing police corruption. As a freelance journalist from 1980-1997, I expanded my expertise to business writing, sports and larger general interest stories. Since 1997 I have specialized in business reporting as a staffer for trade publications covering the chemical and oil industries. In 2008 I finally had the time to write a true crime memoir about the dramatic events that created a life-defining moment while working as the criminal courts reporter for The Houston Post in 1979. The result has been my award-winning book, Luggage By Kroger. It has been honored with a 2009 Silver Medal for true crime books by the IPPYs, a 2008 Bronze Medal for true crime from ForeWord Magazine and was 2009 Runner-Up in the true crime division of the National Indie Excellence Awards. It also was named a finalist for ForeWord Magazine's 2009 Book-of-the-Year Award.

Author bio:
As a child I grew up in Wyoming, Michigan the eldest child of 2 sisters and 2 brothers, (including another half brother). At around the age of 15 I was forced to take control as head of the household when my parents divorced, more or less forcing me to take on the responsibility of raising my sister Laura (my sister Alisha, the youngest of the two going with my mother) and my brother Eric as well as taking care of my father in the months that followed after his health diminished. At the age of 16 I was forced to quit high school, and sought employment to help take care of my father and his continued health issues, though by then my mother had won custody of all my sibblings. In January 1998, my father passed away after taking a fall a few days after christmas, at that time, with how my life was going and my outlook on things (Way Emo) i was hoping for his death as it was the only way at that time that i felt my life would have a purpose or meaning, i was starting to hate all my friends and family members who had gone on to college, found lovers, and started having famlies of their own, while my life was a constant rut. In the end he passed away and I went to live with my maternal grandparents, who taught be a lot about the real world, life, love, and family. In 2000 after the passing of both my grandparents, I went back to school and received my GED. In 2004, thanks to the assistance of a pastor (John Collins), I was able to go to college and major in pre-law. While at college I took on several other areas of study to include, diversity in society, psychology, philosophy, sociology, history and humanities. These classes helped me in understanding a lot about my full potential as well as the world around me. In 2005 I became a volunteer for CASA (court Appointed Special Advocates) for abused and Negelcted children, and did this until late 2009 when my own health issues began to interfer with my daily life. Having no insurance because of a cheap employer (Advance Securtiy) i either ignored my health issues or went to free clinics which were able to extend things. In December of 2010 thanks to the New Health Care Act i was able to obtain health insurace, only to find out a few months ago that i have NASH, more or less known as Non-Alcoholic Liver Issues, and that i now have 5 - 15 years before i will need a liver transplant, that is of course if i can get my other health issues in check before that time. Writing Motivation: What motivates me to write is my ability to always think and see things from outside of the box... in fact for me there is no box, I just have an odd way of looking at things. Or as some of my professors said in college, "I live in a constant state of parinoia." which i agree is true. Genres: Currently my most recent work is in the genre of historical fiction (Titanic: Echo of the Dying Confession) My reasons for writing about the Titanic as an historical fiction derived from an idea that my grandfather had about the titanic being sunk on purpose. Following this idea I created the novel which shows the possibility of this notion as well as digs deeper into the heart of mans vengeance and the wrath of God. Add to this a book i just came out with called "The heat of Passion Doctrine: Kill your Spouse and Get Away with Murder" and one can see that obscured world i live in... Future works: I am also working on 2 other novels at the moment, one titled "Reasons to be Missed" that deals with a young girl dealing with the troubles in her life (cancer and love life issues). As well as working on a book about the murder of my Cousin Jeff Dryden who was abused by his Girlfriend who eventually killed him buy stabbing him in the neck when he decided to leave her. This book is very dear to my heart and is taking me a little bit longer than expected but i am working on it. This site is my way of letting my fans know more about me as well as obtain copies of my works both ebook and print at a discounted rate. Thanks for reading and being a fan...

Nicholas Eftimiades in an author and lecturer and lives in London, England. His career spans several US government agencies and hundreds of thousands of miles in Africa, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Mr. Eftimiades authored a book and number of scholarly articles on national security, technology, and outer space issues. His book "Chinese Intelligence Operations", is an examination of the structure, operations, and methodology of the intelligence services of the People's Republic of China. To date, it remains the only scholarly analysis of China’s intelligence services. Nick's latest work is a political and philosophical satire entitled "Edward of Planet Earth". It is a madcap adventure that spoofs modern life, from organized religion to the traffic control system. The story takes place 200 years in the future where Edward Temple, an ordinary person, is caught up in an zany world where self-aware super-computers are as argumentative, egotistical, demanding, and emotionally needy as the humans they serve. Everything is fair game as Edward navigates befuddled governments, psychotic software, greedy corporations, overly attentive robots, and women. And of course jelly donuts find their way into the story. Nick is a frequent lecturer and public speaker on future technology and societal changes, and national security issues. He has appeared on CBS Evening News with Connie Chung, Dateline NBC, ABC's Day One, BBC America, National Public Radio, and dozens of other television and radio broadcasts. Eftimiades testified before several US Congressional and Presidential Commissions concerning National Security issues, future technology development, and the future of the US space program. He has been a consultant for several Hollywood movies. Nick Eftimiades’ 28 year government career includes seven years at the National Security Space Office leading engineering teams designing "generation after next" national security space capabilities. He was also Senior Technical Officer in Defense Intelligence Agency, Future’s Division, and Chief of DIA’s Space Division. He served as DIA's lead for national space policy and strategy development. In his off time Mr. Eftimiades formed and manages the Federation of Galaxy Explorers, a non-profit organization to educate and inspire children in space science and engineering. To date, Galaxy Explorers has educated and inspired over 25,000 children. He is also a passionate amateur astronomer.

Joe Bagori, born in 1959, to second generation Italian American parents, in Providence Rhode Island. The Italian American community of Federal Hill was his home during his early years. It was there that Joe began his appreciation for extended family, religious values, and good food. It was during those formative years that Joe also got to experience the close knit community that populated Federal Hill. It wasn't unusual to know your neighbors and storekeepers and expect welcoming grins when venturing outside. It wasn't unusual for neighbors to call themselves, "Pizans", something similar to cousin, meaning they came from the province in Italy. Good food and a sense of belonging were not the only old world traditions that Federal Hill embraced. Federal Hill was home to the undisputed leader of New England Organized crime, and he had his office, "The Office", just a few doors down from Joe's home. Power emanated from that office and it influenced the population of not only the neighborhood, but the whole state, the New England region, and was the target of the Federal Bureau of Investigations. The Providence Journal reported spectacular crimes and punishments and invariably attributed them to "The Office". Joe would read these accounts as a paperboy. Joe would ask his mother about those Providence Journal articles and about "The Office" occupant, Raymond Patriarca, and he would be told the Journal was just prejudiced against Italians. Maybe the Providence Journal was reporting facts, and maybe they just did not understand the facts, so Joe was in search of them. As Joe learnt that his Grandfather was good friends with Raymond, Joe thought his mother's comments may have been prejudiced in themselves. In other regards Joe was a typical Baby Boomer and Joe gives a unique perspective of growing up a Boomer in a world were an old world was trying to exist into a future that was born of the space race. Joe's first book, "Mafia Messiah" is a fun read that will open memory passages of your mind making each readers experience unique.

Who Done It Publishing also known as Who Dunit Publishing Bold Force/Smashwords profile page) also known as Who DIP was established by a savvy young man of color by the name of Nigel L. Jackson/Pen name Bold Pro Jackson; whose writing career began as a result of being caught up in a scandalous event involving the criminal justice system and his very life. Wherein, He started out a promising young spirit full of enthusiasm and vigor, gifted with charasmatic graces of intellencia, marketing and a zeal for the finer things in life yet because of misguided decisions and erroneous associations, fell prey to the net of the BOP (Bureau of Prison Complex). However, the unfortunate circumstances, Mr. Jackson garnered a wealth of knowledge in the realm of the criminal, judicial and penal systems established in our present day society. Thusly, presently endeavors taken up the helm of responsibility to hewn his experience into a capsule of substance of substantial proportion launching Who Done It Publishing in the year 2009 AD. It's mission - to rally awareness of his direct experiences first hand revealing a uncensored view of recidivism -the perpetual rate of incarceration the minority majority suffered by the BOP and the U.S. Federal Government via the global literary communities and cyber circuits of technolgy with the hope to bring enlightenment, awareness and ultimately a decline and decrease of the staggering statistics the beast and it's salacious appetite demands for domination of an already oppressed demographic. Additionally, the very real and prevelant elements of crime in the streets; the underworld the only card left to play in an rebellious environment rife with poverty, oppression and idolatry; long-term residual damages of a fatherless nation of African American males growing up in America today; the seige of the young black man; an endangered species. Without bias or prejudice to aide in counsel all parties involved in various unfortunate episodes of life extending educational information involving the criminal justice legal realms of society; young men and women too who have taken a misguided path and/or direction in pursuing success playing by the rules of the underworld or via assocation of someone who has where there is very little if any honor amongst thieves. The lust of the flesh and the pride of life; forbidden fruits of deception that can cloud one's perception; less they be tempted. Quoted from Who DIP executive summary opening paragragh: "Who DIP is a company that provides fine literary crime stories and first person experiences. Statistics show that the United States Federal Government incarcerates a higher percentage of their population than any other country in the world. It is our privilege to educate our readers of the injustices and tactics being used to target minorities." Presently Nigel L. Jackson is serving out a 10 year sentence at a Federal Correctional Institution. He is the father of 4 children.
